Technical team create a system where the end user does not have to trawl through copious links and technical terms in order to work with, what should be, a really simple administration account that manages our user access to software we subscribe to. End users are actually getting billed if these account settings aren't correct!
We rely heavily on the alerting system (companies at different sites) so we can access specific software and operate within our license threshold. To know that the altering system has limitations is very concerning. The technical team needs to create a system that only gives access to software the customer has subscribed to. This means they cannot go over their threshold because there are no more available to access. This also means that users cannot open old software either because this is not part of the customers subscription.
We are tired of spending countless hours tracing where a billing error occurred and then having to dispute this with our account manager.
It is not the customers job to manage what the end user can and cannot access nor is it to monitor usage. Stop providing clients with excess and and start creating accounts that only give us what we paid for. All the account administrator really needs to be managing is the renewal of the subscription and maintain users profiles (adding and removing team members names and e-mails). Easy and no bills.
